Dropo Community Guidelines and Platform Code of Conduct
Effective Date: September 11, 2026
The conduct standards every business, delivery professional, recipient and partner is expected to meet across the Dropo network.
The Dropo network works because businesses, delivery professionals, recipients and partners rely on each other to behave professionally.
These guidelines describe the conduct Dropo expects from everyone who uses the platform, whether they are requesting a delivery, performing one, or receiving a shipment.
1. Who These Guidelines Cover
These guidelines apply to everyone who participates in the Dropo network, including:
- Business customers and their authorized users
- Delivery professionals and their approved helpers
- Recipients of Dropo deliveries
- Facility, warehouse and store personnel involved in a pickup or drop-off
- Partners and contractors authorized to access Dropo services
Additional contractual requirements may apply depending on the type of account.
2. Treat People Professionally
Every interaction on the Dropo network should be professional, courteous and free of intimidation. This applies at a loading dock, at a residential doorstep, over the phone, in the Dropo application and in written messages.
- Communicate clearly and respectfully
- Follow reasonable facility and site instructions
- Respect personal space and personal property
- Do not shout at, insult, threaten or demean another person
- Do not pressure anyone into unsafe or unlawful work
3. Zero Tolerance for Violence and Threats
Violence, credible threats of violence, weapons used to intimidate, stalking and physical intimidation are never acceptable on the Dropo network.
Conduct of this kind may result in immediate removal from the platform and referral to law enforcement where appropriate.
4. Harassment, Discrimination and Sexual Misconduct
Harassment, discrimination and sexual misconduct are prohibited across the Dropo network. Detailed requirements are published in the Dropo Anti Harassment and Anti Discrimination Policy.
5. Honesty and Platform Integrity
Information submitted to Dropo must be accurate. Prohibited conduct includes:
- Falsifying identity, licensing, registration or insurance documents
- Misrepresenting shipment contents, weight, size or handling requirements
- Marking a delivery complete when it was not completed as described
- Manipulating proof of delivery, photographs, timestamps or location data
- Creating duplicate or shared accounts to avoid a restriction
- Submitting fabricated claims, receipts or incident reports
6. Protect Shipments
Shipments belong to someone else. Delivery professionals are responsible for shipments in their possession and must not open, use, consume, tamper with, remove or retain any part of a shipment.
Businesses must package and describe shipments accurately so they can be transported safely and lawfully.
7. Protect Information
Business contact details, recipient names, addresses, phone numbers, shipment contents and delivery records are confidential.
Use this information only to complete the delivery. Do not retain it, publish it, share it, or use it to market or solicit outside the Dropo network.
8. Safe Operations
Safety requirements for delivery professionals, vehicles, loading, cargo securement and incident reporting are published in the Dropo Driver Safety Standards.
No delivery deadline, customer request or service commitment justifies unsafe or unlawful operation.
9. Prohibited and Restricted Shipments
Some goods may not be transported through Dropo, and others require additional approval or handling. Those categories are published in the Dropo Prohibited and Restricted Items Policy.
A delivery professional may decline or stop handling a shipment that appears unsafe, unlawful or materially misrepresented.
10. Business Accountability
Business customers and their authorized users are expected to:
- Describe shipments accurately
- Provide safe pickup and delivery conditions
- Disclose equipment, access and handling requirements in advance
- Treat delivery professionals professionally
- Pay for services as agreed
- Refrain from requesting unsafe, unlawful or prohibited transportation
11. Alcohol, Drugs and Impairment
No one may perform Dropo services while impaired by alcohol, illegal drugs, misused medication, another impairing substance, or extreme fatigue.
12. Respect for Property and Premises
Drive, park and move carefully at pickup and delivery locations. Follow posted site rules, use designated loading areas, and report property damage promptly rather than leaving the scene.
13. Reporting Concerns
Anyone who experiences or witnesses unsafe conduct, harassment, discrimination, theft, fraud, shipment tampering or another serious concern should report it to Dropo.
For emergencies involving immediate danger, injury, fire or crime, contact 911 or the appropriate local emergency service first.
Reports should be made in good faith. Knowingly submitting a false report is itself a violation of these guidelines.
14. Non-Retaliation
Retaliation against someone for making a good faith report, cooperating with a review, or declining unsafe or unlawful work is prohibited.
15. How Dropo Responds
Dropo reviews reported concerns using reasonably available information, which may include delivery records, proof of delivery, photographs, communications, and statements from the people involved.
Depending on the circumstances, Dropo may issue a warning, require corrective action, limit access, suspend an account, or deactivate it. The account review and appeal process is published in the Dropo Account Deactivation and Appeals Policy.
16. Independent Contractor Status
Nothing in these guidelines is intended by itself to create an employment relationship between Dropo and an independent delivery professional. Delivery professionals operate independent businesses and control how they perform their services.
17. Updates
Dropo may update these guidelines as the network, services and operating markets develop. The current version is always published here.
