Dropo Anti Harassment and Anti Discrimination Policy
Effective Date: September 11, 2026
Dropo's requirements on respectful conduct, non-discrimination, sexual misconduct, reporting and non-retaliation across the network.
Dropo deliveries put people together in workplaces, warehouses, docks, storefronts and doorways every day.
Everyone in the Dropo network is entitled to be treated with respect, regardless of who they are or what role they play in a delivery.
This policy explains what harassment and discrimination mean on the Dropo network, how to report them, and how Dropo responds.
1. Who This Policy Covers
This policy applies to conduct connected to Dropo services, including conduct by:
- Delivery professionals and their approved helpers
- Business customers and their authorized users
- Facility, warehouse, dock and store personnel
- Recipients of Dropo deliveries
- Partners and contractors authorized to access Dropo services
It applies at pickup and delivery locations, on the phone, in the Dropo application, and in any written communication relating to a delivery.
2. Non-Discrimination
Dropo prohibits refusing service, denying access, providing different treatment, or targeting a person because of a protected characteristic, including:
- Race, color or ethnicity
- National origin, ancestry or immigration status
- Religion or creed
- Sex, gender, gender identity or gender expression
- Sexual orientation
- Pregnancy or family status
- Age
- Disability or medical condition
- Veteran or military status
- Marital status
- Any other characteristic protected by applicable law
A delivery may not be declined, delayed or performed differently because of a protected characteristic of the business, the driver, or the recipient.
3. Service Animals and Accessibility
Dropo supports lawful accommodation requests. Reasonable requests relating to disability, accessibility, communication or assistance should be accommodated where doing so is lawful and can be handled safely.
A person may not be refused service because they use a service animal, mobility device, interpreter or other accommodation.
4. What Harassment Means
Harassment is unwelcome conduct that a reasonable person would find intimidating, hostile, degrading or abusive. Examples include:
- Slurs, insults or demeaning language
- Comments targeting a protected characteristic
- Threats, aggressive gestures or intimidation
- Repeated unwanted contact, following or waiting for someone
- Sharing or posting someone's information, photographs or video to embarrass or intimidate them
- Deliberately blocking, cornering or restricting someone's movement
A single serious incident can be harassment. Conduct does not need to be repeated to violate this policy.
5. Sexual Harassment and Sexual Misconduct
Sexual harassment and sexual misconduct are strictly prohibited, including:
- Unwelcome sexual comments, propositions or advances
- Requests for dates, phone numbers or personal contact after being declined
- Explicit messages, images or gestures
- Comments about a person's body or appearance of a sexual nature
- Unwanted physical contact of any kind
- Indecent exposure
- Sexual assault
Sexual assault and other serious sexual misconduct may result in immediate and permanent removal from the Dropo network and referral to law enforcement.
6. Threats, Violence and Weapons
Threatening language, credible threats of violence, physical aggression, and displaying a weapon to intimidate are prohibited and may result in immediate account action.
7. Discrimination by Business Customers
Business customers and their personnel may not harass, demean or discriminate against delivery professionals.
This includes refusing to work with an assigned driver because of a protected characteristic, using slurs or demeaning language, denying reasonable access to restrooms or safe waiting areas where they are otherwise available, or pressuring a driver into unsafe or unlawful work.
8. Conduct Toward Recipients
Recipients are entitled to a professional delivery. Delivery professionals must not use a delivery as an opportunity for personal contact, and must not use recipient information for any purpose other than completing the delivery.
9. How to Report
If you experience or witness harassment or discrimination on the Dropo network, report it to Dropo through the Report a Safety Concern form or through Dropo Support.
For emergencies involving immediate danger, injury or a crime in progress, contact 911 or the appropriate local emergency service first.
Useful details include the delivery reference, date, time, location, the people involved, what was said or done, and any photographs, messages or witness information available.
10. Confidentiality
Dropo handles reports as confidentially as reasonably possible.
Information may need to be shared with people involved in the review, with a business customer, with an insurer, or with law enforcement or a regulator where required or appropriate.
11. Non-Retaliation
Retaliation against a person for making a good faith report, cooperating with a review, or declining unsafe or unlawful work is prohibited.
Retaliation may result in account action independent of the outcome of the original report.
12. How Dropo Reviews Reports
Dropo reviews reports using reasonably available information, which may include delivery records, location and timestamp data, proof of delivery, photographs, messages, and statements from the people involved.
Where credible information indicates a significant risk, Dropo may restrict an account temporarily while the review is completed. A temporary restriction does not by itself establish that an allegation is true.
13. Possible Outcomes
Depending on the circumstances, Dropo may:
- Provide a warning or required guidance
- Separate the people involved from future assignments
- Limit access to certain customers, locations or services
- Temporarily suspend an account
- Deactivate an account
- Permanently deactivate an account
- Terminate a business relationship
- Refer the matter to law enforcement or a regulator
The account review and appeal process is published in the Dropo Account Deactivation and Appeals Policy.
14. False Reports
Reports should be made in good faith. Knowingly submitting a false report, fabricated evidence or false statements is a separate violation of Dropo policy.
15. Independent Contractor Status
Nothing in this policy is intended by itself to create an employment relationship between Dropo and an independent delivery professional.
16. Related Policies
This policy should be read together with the Dropo Community Guidelines, Driver Safety Standards, Prohibited and Restricted Items Policy, Account Deactivation and Appeals Policy, and the applicable Dropo agreements.
