This document is published as version 1.0 and is pending final review by Dropo's legal counsel. Any later changes will be published as a new version and you will be told if your acceptance is needed.
11.1 Service
A Dropo Access Point is an approved location where eligible packages may be received and temporarily held for customer pickup.
11.2 Receiving Address
Customers must use the Dropo receiving address and receiving code exactly as provided.
Dropo is not responsible for routing failures caused by:
- incorrect address;
- missing customer code;
- incorrect Access Point;
- merchant address restrictions;
- carrier routing error;
- customer alteration of required address formatting.
11.3 Package Acceptance
A carrier’s “delivered” status does not necessarily mean that Dropo has accepted custody.
A package is considered checked in only after the Dropo system records an authorized Access Point check-in event.
11.4 Hold Period
The standard included hold period is 48 hours after the package becomes ready for pickup, unless another period is clearly displayed for that transaction.
11.5 Storage Extension
Where available, a customer may purchase additional storage.
- extension duration;
- fee;
- new expiration time;
- refund conditions.
Customer must affirmatively confirm the extension.
11.6 Expired Packages
If a package is not collected by the applicable deadline and no approved extension exists, Dropo may initiate:
- return processing;
- return-to-sender;
- carrier handoff;
- merchant return;
- another disposition permitted by law and policy.
Customer must receive reasonable notice through available channels before expiration where technically and operationally practicable.
11.7 Pickup Verification
Package release may require:
- active Dropo QR;
- pickup PIN;
- identity verification;
- signature;
- other fraud-prevention checks.
An Access Point may refuse release where credentials are invalid or fraud is reasonably suspected.
11.8 Authorized Pickup
If Dropo later permits designated third-party pickup, Dropo will require explicit authorization from the customer and record it. Possession of a screenshot of a pickup credential is not authorization.
11.9 Package Restrictions
Access Points may refuse:
- hazardous materials;
- illegal items;
- weapons where prohibited;
- perishables unless expressly supported;
- oversized packages beyond location capability;
- leaking/damaged packages presenting danger;
- prohibited items;
- packages outside configured location capacity.
11.10 Fees
Applicable receiving, pickup, storage, return or other fees must be displayed before the customer incurs the charge where reasonably possible.
